Bummerfest 2006
What is the coolest music festival in Humboldt County?
Devon O’ of the Disappointments & Professional Superheroes:
BUMMERFEST!!!!!!!!! Because its the greatest rock and roll extravaganza Humboldt County has to offer.
DJ Spencer Doran:
Its Fucking Awesome
Rose Goodwin:
I think it is amazing how motivated everyone is. Its so awesome that just a handful of people can just decide to have this big awesome music festival, and they totally pull it off and do everything their way. Placebo volunteers are as real as you and me… I worked the door most the time. Its a really hectic job to be in charge of, but I think Im addicted or something.
Caleb Scoville of The Dean
Any other reasons? The music and the work people put into it…The fact that I get to see all of my favorite local bands and a bunch of amazing touring bands for two straight days!
This year it’s the Bummer Olympics
When: September 2nd and 3rd, Noon to Midnight!
Where: Eureka Veterans Hall (this means kids aged 21+ can drink if you’re a) not a jerk about it and b) you take your hat off in the Vets’ Bar; Seriously, they don’t like hats.)
Cost:
- Advance: $8 for 1 day, $15 for both days
tickets available at The Works, The Metro, People’s Records, Wildwood Music, and in SoHum at WildHorse Records in Garberville - Day of: $12 for 1 day, $20 for both days

My suggestion for the Bummerfest is, ‘Electric Cool-aid Bummerfest’…….I just heard of this Bummerfest today , Thursday, June 29, 2006 in the Eureka Time Standard News Paper, the Northern Lights Section.
It’s a bummer to receive information about the theme contest after the deadline for submission has already passed.
Please check it out—I am one in need of consideration….
PEACE !

Yo Bummer Folk!
I would like some information on whether or not non-profits can table at this event. Also, as I work for the Red Cross now, I’d also like to know how one volunteers to work at the first aid table.
Write me back at safecorps[at]pacbell[dot]net and let me know what’s up.
Thanks,
Brian
