The Placebo

The Placebo is volunteer run and a registered non-profit which means your donations can really help us out AND you can write them off your taxes (if you do that sort of thing).

What sort of donations can we use?

• Event specific supplies for workshops, 24 hour yard sale, and the like. This can be everything from old t-shirts (in good condition) to lumber, but we don’t need everything all the time. Contact us to find out what we need at the moment.
• A copy of your zine for our budding zine library!
• Answering machine that has multiple mailboxes; we share our phone number with other non-profits
• An LCD projector. I mean this is a wishlist, right? (we occasionally show indie films or video art installations)
• Portable white screen for showing films
• Digital video camera so we can bring workshops and shows to you over the Web
• Bean bag chairs! (we have to stow all our furniture between events)
• Knitting needles and yarn for The Placebo’s Knitting Circle
• Cold hard cash (or checks, etc.): Helps with rent, utilities, sound gear — you name it; send to the Ink People, please, but be sure to say it’s for us :)
